Lauri Pipkin, MS

Psychotherapist
NV
I am a retired military wife with two adult children and two dogs. My husband and I love to travel, hike, and camp. As a therapist, my goal is to build a strong rapport that encourages you to share your needs and goals, so we can create a treatment plan that is uniquely tailored to you. I strive to provide a safe, supportive environment where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I am currently seeing clients through telemental health counseling with plans to add in-person services in the future. My approach My approach to treatment integrates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to provide a comprehensive and individualized healing process. EMDR helps clients process and resolve past traumatic experiences that continue to impact their present life. IFS guides clients in exploring and understanding the different parts of themselves, fostering internal compassion and balance. CBT offers practical tools to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. By combining these methods, I aim to address both the emotional and cognitive aspects of healing, supporting clients in developing insight, emotional regulation, and lasting change. My focus I believe counseling is a collaborative process that empowers clients with the skills, clarity, and self-acceptance needed to live more meaningful and fulfilling lives. I have experience working with clients who have faced trauma, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I work with individuals aged six and up. All clients are welcomed and appreciated. I am passionate about supporting those who are processing and healing from past trauma or navigating life transitions. My communication style In therapy, my communication style is open, honest, safe, and respectful. I strive to create an environment where clients feel heard without judgment, allowing them to express their thoughts and emotions freely.
