Getting to know Leah Christ

I have been working with children, adults, couples, and families since the start of 2023. In my work, I use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and systems approaches. Before Road to Growth, my prior experience included work in mental health, educational, and community outreach settings. I specialize in addressing trauma, depression, anxiety, and maladaptive coping behaviors. With a Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver, I am especially aware of how our personal relationships, as well as the communities we're a part of, shape how we move through the world. My passion is to advocate for and empower individuals, families, and communities. It is a privilege to support folks through life's challenges and empower them to create positive change. Starting the process of therapy can be intimidating, but I aim to create a safe, supportive environment so that you can show up as your authentic self. To quote Maya Angelou, “I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.” Life is full of adversities, but if we can access our inner strength and resilience, we do not have to be reduced by the challenges we face. I look forward to connecting with you!
