What should a new client know about working with you?

I focus on maintaining clear and open communication to create a supportive, judgment-free space. Through active listening, I will work with you to reflect on your experiences with empathy and understanding. When facing difficult moments, you can count on me to remain calm and patient as we work through your struggles together. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own recovery from an eating disorder and a deep desire to help others navigate life’s most difficult challenges. During graduate training, I had the privilege of working with individuals facing eating disorders and those healing from trauma. These experiences highlighted the transformative impact of therapy and strengthened my dedication to supporting others in their healing process. Watching clients build confidence and discover a sense of peace is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our initial sessions, we will work together to understand your personal story and goals for therapy to create a treatment plan that fits your individual needs. We will collaborate throughout the treatment process to help you feel empowered to heal from your struggles. Our first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your background and what’s bringing you to therapy, and there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. We’ll walk through this journey side by side, creating a space where healing can unfold, and I’ll be here to support and guide you along the way.
