Psychotherapist
TN
Hi there, I'm Lee! I call myself The Barefoot Therapist because I love being barefoot in the grass. I describe myself as an eclectic and compassionate therapist who helps individuals manage worry, stress, and anxiety holistically. My strengths are rapport building, empathy, and creating a safe space. I collaborate with clients to uncover root causes, aiming to positively impact their lives. I practice client-centered therapy, tailoring my approach to each individual's needs and combining therapeutic modalities like EMDR, somatic exercises, and movement to regulate the nervous system. When weather permits, we can also utilize walking and talking in nature. I love to teach skills that help your nervous system. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support my clients effectively. My approach My strengths lie in building rapport, empathy, and creating a safe space. I collaborate with clients by utilizing curiosity and client-centered therapy. The client is the expert on their life; my job is to be curious so I can better understand their needs. I tailor my approach to each individual and combine therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, shadow work, inner child work, and somatic exercises to help clients connect to their bodies. I believe movement and grounding exercises are extremely helpful in regulating our nervous system. My focus I work exclusively with individual adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, goal setting, and trauma. Together, we formulate coping skills and goals that work for you by taking small steps to build consistency rather than waiting for motivation. My communication style I utilize active and reflective listening to best understand your thoughts and emotions. Clients will be in a non-judgmental and empathetic space.
