Psychotherapist
TX
My name is Leila El-Bathy, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. I work with adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, and stress, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Supportive Therapy to help clients move forward and develop their well-being. My approach My approach to therapy is client-driven. I believe clients should choose their goals and the best way to achieve them. I provide non-judgmental support, ideas, skills, and education tailored to each client’s needs. While I mainly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Supportive Therapy, I remain open to other modalities to best fit the client. My focus I work best with clients diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I also have experience supporting clients with borderline personality disorder, PTSD, and those experiencing psychosis. I help clients experiencing difficult symptoms by guiding them to change harmful thought patterns, shift perspectives, identify values, and adjust behaviors. My communication style My communication style is supportive, non-judgmental, and accommodating. I want clients to feel comfortable exploring and discussing sensitive topics without fear of judgment or belittlement. My journey to therapy I have always been drawn to helping others, from volunteering in my community to providing a listening ear to friends in distress. As an empath by nature, I prefer to see others happy and thriving. I find deep meaning in my work helping others on their path to well-being.
