UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I believe in our innate power to heal and grow from difficult life experiences. Whether you've experienced trauma recently or many years ago, these experiences may continue to impact you physically, emotionally, psychologically, and relationally. I offer a gentle, collaborative, and affirming space to access and work through past events, however they show up, as well as for self-exploration and personal growth. I pay close attention to how issues of identity—such as race, class, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, and size—may impact your experience. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Smith College and a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University, which inform my compassionate and informed approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to make warm & genuine connections with my clients as I support them in navigating all that life brings us. Therapy with me is collaborative; I want to help you work towards your goals by holding space for you to be heard and any emotions that come up, being curious about the wisdom of your body, and developing skills to manage symptoms. My work is trauma-sensitive and social justice-informed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe each person is an expert on their own life and we each have within us the key ingredients to heal and grow. In a first session, we will talk a little about your history and your therapy goals. Sessions after that will be led by you, and I can pull in tools to help you cope with symptoms, ground your body, and process past experiences.
