Psychotherapist
CA
Welcome! I’m a therapist who works with individuals and couples, and I’m here to support you in creating meaningful change in your life. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, collaborative space where you can be yourself while also growing into who you want to become. My focus My client focus is centered on individuals and couples who are looking to improve their emotional well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges or relationship concerns, I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and goals. My approach My approach to providing care is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. I focus on helping you understand how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are connected, while also encouraging self-awareness and present-moment grounding. My communication style My communication style is relaxed, conversational, and interactive. Sessions feel like real-life discussions rather than something overly clinical, but I also intentionally challenge your thought patterns to help you gain new perspectives. I use humor when appropriate to make the space feel comfortable and human. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began in 2009 as a case manager, where I realized I wanted to do more. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology in 2017 and have since worked with individuals with severe mental illness, as well as couples and individuals, with training in Gottman and EFT. My goals for you I help clients reach their goals by keeping therapy active and accountability-based. We regularly check in on what you’ve worked on outside of sessions, explore any challenges you faced, and problem-solve together so you can continue realistically making progress. Our first session In our first session, the focus is on building rapport and getting a clear understanding of your story.
