Getting to know Leslie Chernykh

I am passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and process past experiences so they can function in healthy, grounded ways, especially in a world that often leaves individuals feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depleted, and spiritually exhausted. My goal is to help you identify repeating patterns, address overwhelm and chaotic living, and uncover and embrace your authentic self so you can experience a more peaceful and balanced life. As part of Hope and Healing Counseling Services, I provide an eclectic, holistic, and trauma-informed approach tailored to each client, meeting you where you are and walking alongside you without judgment as you move through your healing journey. My clinical background in community mental health has allowed me to work with adolescents, young adults, and adults facing Bipolar Disorder, PTSD/C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, traumatic brain injuries, chronic medical conditions, parenting challenges, long-term recovery, self-advocacy needs, and multicultural identity exploration. Drawing from Psychodynamic Therapy, Positive Psychology, CBT, and Person-Centered interventions, I help you build practical coping skills such as assertive communication, boundary-setting, cognitive reframing, and nervous system regulation so you can better understand your story and feel empowered to live the life you desire.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You should know that I provide a trauma-informed, holistic, and nonjudgmental space where we explore your past experiences, identify repeating patterns, and build practical tools to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with your authentic self.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin by understanding your story and current challenges, then collaboratively create a tailored treatment approach using psychodynamic therapy, CBT, person-centered interventions, and positive psychology to build coping skills such as boundary-setting, assertive communication, cognitive reframing, and nervous system regulation.
