Navigating through the paths of life can be challenging. You don't have to journey them alone. My name is Leslie Scott, also known as the Esteem Counselor. I am here to support you along your journey with a clinical road map and meaningful conversation to make your path easier to endure. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University and over 24 years of experience specializing in Culturally Based Therapy, Christian Counseling, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Loss, Life Transitions, Relationships, Family, Couples, Trauma, Veterans, Diversity, Inclusion, and Narcissistic Abuse. I work with a diverse range of clients and would welcome the opportunity to support you as you navigate this phase of your life’s journey.
What should a new client know about working with you?
What made you decide to seek counseling support now? Many people come to counseling for many reasons. During the initial session we will explore what is driving you to set therapy goals and what your desired outcome looks like. I will suggest evidence based therapies that would be most effective to help you attain your desired therapeutic destination. At each of our therapy visit we will explore the ways in which the objects set are helping you progress and will collaborate on changes to interventions, as needed until you have reached your targeted goal or decide to change direction. I will offer assessment, resources, and referrals along the way to support your efforts when possible.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

The provider is accepting new patients even though she is booked out for 6 weeks. Happy that she is doing well but to ask patients to dredge up old wounds and to have to sit in all of that emotion and unhealed trauma for over a month before a second session can be scheduled is no bueno.
