Leticia Gutierrez, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi! My name is Leticia, and I am a California-based psychotherapist with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Mount Saint Mary's University. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, bereavement, and crisis management. I have extensive experience working with children and adults in various settings, including public, private, and parochial schools, as well as in private practice. Please contact me if you are ready and willing to make changes to improve your quality of life. I am someone who will hold you accountable, point out things you may not be aware of, and confront you if I feel you are not actively participating in our sessions. With so much going on in the world today, sometimes all you need is someone willing to listen without judgment, someone who will cheer you on, or someone who will teach you how to handle situations with a calm mind and body. Whatever your issue may be, you are doing the right thing by seeking help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients will more than likely feel as though a weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Sometimes just venting or talking about our challenge(s) helps us feel lighter and more heard. In session, I will educate you about your issue, I will help you identify your challenges and/or I will listen when you want to feel heard. If I cannot help you, I will refer you to someone who will better assist you. My clients who work with me can expect to work with someone who cares about them, someone who will educate them and someone who will refer said client if I cannot support them as they need or deserve to.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
