Leticia Vasquez-Zurita, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Leticia! Hello! My name is Leticia. I am a bilingual therapist in California's Central Valley. I am a first-generation immigrant from Mexico. My experiences as an immigrant, English learner, and advocate/interpreter for my family have shaped who I am personally and professionally. I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals to live fulfilling lives. My services fit busy lifestyles by offering sessions online and in-person, including evenings and weekends. My approach My therapy approach varies based on each client's needs. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Focusing on strengths rather than weaknesses tends to motivate clients more in their healing journey. My focus I specialize in teens, families, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, trauma, family conflicts, anger, and life transitions. I have worked in mental health for over 10 years, first as a case manager/support counselor and, in the last 5 years, as a mental health therapist. My communication style I am authentic while mindful of my role as your therapist. I pride myself on being easygoing and sometimes funny (depending on the topic). My journey to mental healthcare My mental health journey began 10 years ago during a nonprofit internship for school. Working alongside therapists inspired me to pursue higher education to become a therapist. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Stanislaus. Before my master's, I worked as a counselor and case manager. During graduate school, I interned as a therapist for two years and have been working as a therapist for about six years.
