Getting to know Lexie Haslem

You've gotten good at holding it all together — but somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like yourself. Maybe it's the constant overthinking, the exhaustion of keeping the peace, or a quiet sense that no matter how much you do, it's never quite enough. You don't have to keep living in survival mode. I'm Lexie, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and I help adults heal trauma, quiet anxiety, and reconnect with who they are underneath everything they've been carrying. My approach is trauma-informed and whole-body — we work with both your mind and your nervous system, not just your symptoms. Using EMDR, somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems, and inner-child work, we get to the deeper roots of the patterns that keep you stuck and gently help you move beyond them. Therapy with me is collaborative, paced by you, and free of judgment. If you're ready to feel more grounded, more connected, and more like yourself again, I'd love to meet you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You don't need to have it figured out before we start — that's what we do together. Our first priority is making sure you feel safe and genuinely understood, because real healing can't happen until your nervous system feels it can slow down. I work at your pace, not a script's. Some sessions are about understanding what's happening beneath the surface; others are about learning to regulate the overwhelm so daily life feels lighter. Because I take a mind-body approach, we'll pay attention to what's happening in your body, not just your thoughts. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready to, and no part of your story is too much. I offer secure online therapy to adults across Montana and Utah, so you can do this work from wherever you feel most comfortable.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, I focus on getting to know you, what brought you in, and what you're hoping for, while we build a sense of safety and trust together. From there, the work is collaborative. We'll set goals that matter to you and begin gently exploring the deeper roots of the patterns you're navigating, using tools like EMDR, somatic work, and parts work when the time feels right. I pace everything to your comfort and check in often, so the work always feels like something we're doing together — not something happening to you. The goal isn't perfection. It's helping you feel more whole, more connected, and more like yourself.
