Lezah Pope, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Lezah! Hello! My name is Lezah Pope, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I am passionate about supporting people on their healing journeys. Traumatic life experiences can leave lasting wounds, and I believe that these points of pain can be transformed into strength and resilience. It is my commitment to be an ally alongside those who are seeking to integrate their pasts so that the present and future can feel meaningful and fulfilling. My approach I use a holistic approach that incorporates evidence-based treatment modalities to heal trauma on the level of the mind, body, and spirit. Some of these techniques are EMDR, IFS, ACT, mindfulness, and somatic psychotherapy. My focus I have experience working with folks from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds. Currently, I am seeing those aged 13+ who have experienced trauma (including sexual trauma and childhood trauma), anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse, and grief. I will always want to understand how cultural factors have impacted your experience and am LGBTQ+ and sex worker allied. My communication style I offer a warm, compassionate, and open-minded presence. My intention is to get to know who you are, what you’ve been through, and where you want to go. While I do find value in gently challenging those I work with, I will always meet you where you are and take things at your pace. My journey to mental healthcare My own healing journey is what led me to become a therapist. The experiences of trauma in my life left me feeling incredibly lost and, at times, hopeless. The support of therapy gave me the tools to begin to rebuild a relationship with myself rooted in love rather than shame. While I am still an imperfect human, the transformation I have experienced through my own personal (and ongoing!) therapy has been invaluable, and I am passionate about passing along what I have learned to others.
