Getting to know Lila Kreis

I have my LAC, SWC, and I am EMDR-trained, and HAEI-SW/AAT certified. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing complex trauma, substance misuse, mood disorders, suicidal thinking, identity conflicts, life changes, neurodivergence, interpersonal/relational concerns, stress from legal issues/chronic incarceration, and severe/persistent mental illness. I see folks at age 12 years and up, teens and adults of all backgrounds. I have extensive experience working LGBTQ+ individuals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My passion is set in working with, and aiding in empowerment of all people. I know what it's like to struggle to find an affordable therapist that also "gets it," so I've built my approach to my practice in the way that I would like to receive care as well.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I prefer to begin with a free 15 minute consultation session to ensure that I am a good fit for you. During this consultation call, we'll talk about rates, sliding scale models for payment/accessibility purposes, and what you are generally seeking from therapy/individual services. If you feel I am a good fit for you, the initial session typically includes identifying goals for therapy, talking about some background and life history, as well as completing relevant intake forms and questionnaires. I am collaborative in my approach, and will build a plan with you, tailored to your goals. I provide assessments, talk therapy, psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems/parts work-informed interventions, narrative based interventions, DBT, CBT, EDMR therapy, motivational interviewing, MET, SFBT, animal assisted interventions, somatic interventions and more.
