Getting to know Lina Marquez
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida since March 2007, with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Barry University. I have over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy and assessing adults, families, and children in multiple settings. I consider myself skilled in using a variety of clinical interventions—expressive arts combined with cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and trauma-informed approaches—in three languages: English, Spanish, and French.
As a Colombian-born immigrant who came to the US to further my education and practice as a psychotherapist, I have learned to incorporate the creative side of the human brain to facilitate expression and enhance emotional communication. I have helped many people cope with life changes, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and other challenges. I thrive on connecting with each person and developing trust, hope, and faith in the therapeutic—and creative—process.
My main focus is to provide a safe space for open conversations, whether via TeleHealth or in-office, that allow individuals to find their own path toward growth and healing. It takes courage to face psychological challenges and take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you all the way!

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
