Getting to know Linda Berry

Hi there, I'm Linda! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles, and over 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I am committed to offering kind, compassionate, culturally responsive, and practical support to all of my clients as they navigate the challenges of daily life. The goal is to help you achieve positive, healthy healing and lasting change through evidence-based practices and responsive, practical support. My approach My approach is strength-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I understand the importance of intersectionality and how the interaction of gender identity, race, class, sexual orientation, and other factors can impact and shape mental health. I utilize Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCBT) as my primary approach to providing therapy. MBCBT is an evidence-based treatment that combines mindfulness practices with cognitive therapy techniques to help people become more aware of their thoughts and feelings while developing healthy coping skills. My goal is to empower my clients to better manage their mental health through individualized sessions personalized to each client’s distinctive needs, unique attributes, and specific challenges. My focus Through individual sessions with clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma, I utilize unconditional positive regard and tailor each session to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring that sessions are age-appropriate and effective. My communication style Ensuring a safe, warm, and supportive environment is a fundamental aspect of my therapeutic practice. My aim is always to make certain that my clients feel safe, respected, valued, and heard. This supportive atmosphere provides the platform for developing healthy coping strategies, building resilience, fostering a strong sense of empowerment, and creating positive change.
