Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Lindsay! People are made to be connected with others, so it is no surprise to learn that the relationship between the counselor and the client is an essential component of counseling. I work to build a positive relationship with every client, so that even when the work is difficult, the client feels supported. My hope is sit with you as you create the rich and meaningful life you want. My approach My role is to partner with the client to explore their personal values, develop coping strategies, identify helpful and unhelpful patterns of behavior, and create goals and plans. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and EMDR, and have also received training in the Gottman Method, Sand Tray Therapy, and Circle of Security. My focus If you find yourself struggling with difficult thoughts, feelings, or situations, please know that you are not alone. I work with individuals who are just trying to navigate the waters of life and the stress that comes with it. Much of my experience is working with teens and young adults to learn coping skills and make plans for the future. I have a heart for educators, healthcare workers, the military, and first responders. I have worked in education for 12 years, I studied criminal justice and worked in the field, and I am married to an ICU nurse. These experiences have provided some unique insight into what these professionals might experience on a day-to-day basis. In addition to these groups, I would also love to work with you to process grief, trauma, shame, and parenting issues. My communication style I enjoy a conversational communication style that is rich with compassion, humor, analogy, and storytelling. My hope is that this style will foster the counseling relationship and help the client make connections, recognize behavior patterns, and make plans for their future.
