Hi there, I'm Lindsay. This is an extremely difficult time for all of us, and we're seeing higher rates of depression, anxiety, and anger. It's a critical time to work on building resilience. Together, we can work toward building the confidence and coping skills to take on the difficulties of today. I graduated from the University of Indianapolis in Indiana with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. Since then, I've become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional, and a Certified Advanced Grief Counselor. My experience is most extensive in working with those who have symptoms of or are diagnosed with anxiety and/or depression. With my Compassion Fatigue certification, I work with leaders, other therapists, or other helpers working with people who have experienced trauma and who are themselves experiencing burnout, vicarious trauma, and/or secondary trauma. In my private practice, LJK Counseling, LLC, I focus on individual therapy as well as mental health trainings for the community. My approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness practices. Through these methods, individuals start seeing behavior through a new outlet, allowing for change to occur. I also enjoy utilizing the Enneagram to help individuals gain a better understanding of who they are. The Enneagram allows individuals to identify why they behave the way they do through a guided personality inventory, helping them seek ways to grow in understanding and strength. If you're ready to take the first step toward building resilience and finding new ways to cope, I'm here to support you. Let's work together to navigate these challenging times.
