“5 stars do not represent how great Lindsey is; we would give 10 if it were an option! She is very kind, authentic, and caring and connected quickly with our teenage daughter. In their time together, she does great to listen, but equally important, she helps our daughter think through steps she can take to be her best self. We can't recommend or be more thankful for Lindsey!”

Getting to know Lindsey Martinez

Lindsey has spent many years helping clients and their families recover from the overwhelming impact of eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. She specializes in helping clients regain control over their intrusive thoughts and conquer body image concerns. Lindsey works closely with clients to ensure they feel supported and encouraged throughout their journey. She also supports women struggling to become mothers-from infertility to postpartum challenges. Lindsey believes that no one should tackle life's struggles alone and has dedicated herself to helping others. She holds a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Lindsey's practice will verify any insurance benefits before the first session. She will meet with you to hear from you what you have been experiencing and what you hope to change or address in therapy. Lindsey meets with clients virtually so that she can extend her support services to all Illinois residents. Lindsey's style is collaborative, friendly and engaging - she wants to hear your ideas, listen to your stories, and brainstorm goals that feel catered to your needs and where you'd like to be.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Lindsey will take 2-3 sessions to learn about you and your history as well as your therapy goals. These appointments are about 50 minutes long and are catered to fit your needs. After the initial sessions, you and Lindsey will discuss how often meeting makes sense for your goals, what challenges you are facing and how to overcome barriers. Lindsey's clients typically enjoy meeting with her weekly to establish rapport and help them feel supported, but not overwhelmed, by her support.
