Hi there! I'm Lindsey Saltzman, LSCW, the founder and practitioner behind Equinox Counseling & Consulting, LLC. I have worked in the field since 2013 and am excited to offer individual telehealth services through my private practice in Indiana, Kentucky, and Iowa! I have worked with many different populations, from those experiencing a crisis, to sexual assault victims, to college students struggling with anxiety, to survivors of homicide and suicide. My true passion and specialty, however, is working with first responders and survivors of intimate partner violence. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern Indiana in 2013 and am licensed in the state of Indiana (License #34007677A). I was an embedded clinician within a law enforcement agency and on a mobile crisis response team for five years in Charleston, South Carolina, both of which included daily interaction with first responders on mental health crisis and negotiation scenes. I also provided VOCA services to victims of various crimes, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and homicide/suicide survivors.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy using a variety of different therapy techniques to help my clients find better balance & healthier relationships throughout their life. As such, I push my clients to realize the patterns preventing them from achieving the life they desire and follow through on a plan to change them. Sessions typically includes humor, tough questions, validation, and accountability - all wrapped up in an hour appointment. I also try to be as authentic as possible with my clients to foster open trusting relationships.
