Linnae Ponte, LMFT

Linnae Ponte, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Northern California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and couples and specialize in treating PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. My approach As an integrative psychotherapist, my approach varies based on each client’s needs. I am passionate about utilizing Internal Family Systems (IFS) and blend this with person-centered, attachment-based, mindfulness and somatic-oriented, transpersonal, humanistic, and culturally sensitive methods. My focus I support clients facing complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, OCD, and relational difficulties. I also work extensively with individuals integrating non-ordinary states of consciousness and have years of training in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. My communication style My style is calm and personable. I want clients to feel comfortable discussing anything and pride myself on listening without judgment. Clients often appreciate my ability to “get to the heart of the matter” quickly and effectively. My journey to mental healthcare I am grateful to have realized my sensitivity could be a gift rather than a handicap. Growing up as a highly sensitive empath without understanding these concepts, I believed something was wrong with me. Through my own therapy journey, I unraveled these beliefs and shifted from aspiring researcher to therapist, using intuition, connection, and attunement. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from the California Institute of Integral Studies, which deeply informs my integrative and holistic approach to therapy.
