Lisa Dimmer, LPC

Psychotherapist
801 N Weber St, Ste 300, Colorado Springs, CO
Hello, I'm Lisa. Beginning therapy can sometimes feel intimidating and overwhelming. Through a compassionate and kind approach, I provide a non-judgmental space where you are free to be yourself and be heard. I use a blend of techniques including talk, art, mindfulness, play, and storytelling to create an environment of comfort and gentleness in working with things that may be painful to express. With this approach, people often find that what once was painful becomes a source of empowerment. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. I completed my undergraduate coursework at Metropolitan State University and my graduate coursework at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Additionally, I am an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist and am in my advanced year of Somatic Experiencing training. I specialize in working with a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, attachment issues, relationship conflicts, and more. Whether you're dealing with stress, PTSD, or navigating significant life changes, I am here to support you. In our sessions, you can expect a warm, empathetic, and collaborative environment. I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives and am dedicated to helping you find your path to healing and growth. Together, we will explore your concerns and work towards your goals, always at your own pace. Please know that you are not alone, and I honor your decision to enter therapy and seek growth. If you're ready to take the next step, call me for a free phone consultation. I look forward to connecting with you.
