I am a LMFT. I chose a career in mental health because I am deeply inspired by the strength and resilience of people working to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. My approach is rooted in compassion, and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward their highest level of functioning. I specialize in the treatment of drug and alcohol addictions, trauma, eating disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Each person is treated as an individual and has a treatment plan carefully planned out to meet that person's individual requirements. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life and create meaningful change. My approach I use CBT, Narrative, Gestalt, Person-centered therapy, meditation, and relaxation. Each session is based on the client's individual needs at that point in time. We, as collaborators, figure out what is best needed in the moment while practicing grounding techniques using affirmations and gratitudes My focus I believe that there is recovery for every individual. All a person has to have is "willingness". As a therapist, I can provide you with all of the tools, support, and encouragement! My communication style compassionate understanding. We are a team put together to achieve your goals. My journey to mental healthcare I had a wonderful MD take me, in the middle of her office day, out to her car to a lake. We walked around the lake and talked for about an hour, and then she asked if I would go into treatment. I immediately said that I would do anything she asked because she showed me compassionate understanding and was non-judgmental. I try to be that therapist for others. My goals for you I ask everyone what they would like to accomplish on the first day that we meet, and reassess this throughout our time during therapy.
