Hello, I'm Lisa. Are you waking up in the middle of the night worrying? Do you think of the worst-case scenario and all of the 'what ifs'? Do you find yourself feeling discontent with the relationships in your life? Do you have a difficult time communicating your needs and end up feeling frustrated, anxious, sad, or unfulfilled? If you are tired of living this way and want things to change, then it might be time to reach out for some support. It can be difficult to navigate life when you are not feeling like yourself or at your best. You just want things to get better, but you do not know what to do or how to make that happen. Taking that first step to get help can be anxiety-provoking and overwhelming. I provide a compassionate and trusting counseling environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your life struggles and are encouraged to make changes. I can help you take that first step toward a more fulfilling life. Let's start your journey to finding more peace and joy in your life! A little more about me: I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 22 years of experience treating depression, stress, anxiety, anger, relationship concerns, life transitions, and parenting struggles. I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient counseling, performing psychiatric assessments in hospitals and the community, and working in schools providing counseling. I am passionate about helping people experience healing and freedom in their lives, so they can experience more peace and joy. In our counseling sessions, we will examine the root causes of your presenting concerns. We will work through faulty beliefs you may have about yourself and others. We will identify strongholds that are holding you back in life. I will help empower you to find peace and healthier ways of living. The main modality I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I can also integrate the Catholic faith into the sessions if desired. My availability includes Monday from 1:30p-7:30p, Tuesday from 4:30p-7:30p, and Wednesday from 11:30a-5:30p during the summer. Starting in mid-August, my availability will be only evening appointments. My appointments start on the half hour. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on this journey.
