Lisa McCullough, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Lisa! My name is Lisa McCullough, LMFT39465. I have been a licensed therapist for over 20 years and take great pride in the trusting relationships I have built with my clients as they reflect and progress through life's challenges. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and a Psychodynamic approach to address challenges in relationships, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. I am culturally sensitive and comfortable working with all ages and genders. My approach The most common approaches I use are cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic. My focus I work with clients of all ages, from teenagers to seniors, who struggle with life transitions, stress, anxiety, and depression. My communication style I take a very relational approach to therapy, meaning I am a participant in the room with my clients. Together, we explore the nature of their current challenges, how these may relate to the past, and identify and teach new ways of coping in the present. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to psychology as an undergraduate student, fascinated by how we think, interpret, perceive, and interact with the world and those around us. This drive has continued for over 20 years as I have been honored by clients who have invited me into some of the most difficult times in their lives. I support, guide, and explore with them how they can better understand themselves, cope, and possibly make different decisions to improve their quality of life. My goals for you Goal setting is a collaborative process between my clients and me. My first session with you The first session is an opportunity for you to get to know me and for me to get to know you.
