Life can bring challenging chapters in the narrative of our lives. Processing and moving forward from these struggles is possible, and you have taken a significant step in reaching out. On my journey of healing, I have faced losses that shook my sense of self and had to move through experiences I did not believe I would have the strength to recover from. I am a person who is comfortable with the uncomfortable. In fact, because I have had to work through most of my dark times alone, I seek to be a support for individuals when challenges arise. A guiding goal for me is to reduce the number of individuals who have to mirror my lived experience. I am an advocate for expressive arts, strength-based, and body-centered approaches. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and have over 20 years of combined experience working with children and adolescents as an educator, artistic director, and counselor. I am honored to be a resource of support for youth and adults experiencing grief and processing traumatic experiences.

What should a new client know about working with you?

"As we move through different phases of our life, different approaches may be needed. It is important to form an alliance. To assist with this, the initial appointment will consist of intake and a chance to get to know one another. For a minor child, this will mean a consultation with the caregiver(s). After the initial session, the counselor and client will create a better picture of the service needs. The preference is to create a plan for consistent support using a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly model. Together we will work to build capacity for growth. After our work together, I hope you feel you have grown. With an increased ability to hold your narrative and a willingness to progress onward. "

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
