Lisa Priel, LCSW

Lisa Priel, LCSW

Psychotherapist
OH
I work with high-performing adults who are navigating burnout, chronic stress, and the internal pressure to always “keep it together.” My practice is designed for people who are dependable and successful on the outside, but feel depleted, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside. Our work goes beyond surface-level stress to address the long-standing patterns underneath it, including overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and difficulty slowing down. I help clients build practical tools to respond differently to stress, relationships, and the constant pressure they place on themselves so they can feel more grounded, clear-headed, and connected to their lives again.

Getting to know Lisa Priel

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take an active and focused approach to therapy. You can expect a collaborative professional relationship where I offer thoughtful feedback, honest observations, and clear direction throughout the process. I believe insight is most valuable when it leads to meaningful change, so our sessions are engaged, practical, and intentional rather than simply a space to vent. Alongside insight and practical strategies, we also work with the nervous system directly through somatic (body-based) approaches that help your body move out of constant stress and high alert. This combined approach often helps clients feel calmer, more present, and more emotionally steady in their day-to-day lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start by identifying where you’re feeling most stuck and what you want to see change. Our time is divided between understanding the deeper roots of your stress and building the tools to manage it in real-time. We don't just talk about the problem; we work on the mental and physical strategies that allow you to respond to life differently. You will leave our sessions with a sharper understanding of your internal patterns and a concrete plan for how to navigate your week with more confidence and ease.
