Hi! I’m Liset, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#86352) based in Upland, providing therapy services statewide via telehealth. I am a first-generation Mexican American who offers therapy in both English and Spanish. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, collaborative, and culturally competent. I use an eclectic style, drawing from various evidence-based practices to tailor interventions to each client’s unique needs. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. My approach I believe each client’s needs are individualized, so my approach varies depending on those needs. I utilize modalities such as Strength-Based, Person-Centered, Culturally Sensitive, CBT, and solution-focused therapies to build awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I am also expanding my knowledge and will be obtaining training in EMDR. Together, we will identify your strengths, create strategies to navigate challenges, and process the experiences most important to you. My focus I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life stages, with particular emphasis on supporting first-generation Americans, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), and Spanish-speaking clients. I serve adults and adolescents facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, stress management, self-esteem, and personal growth. My communication style I take a genuine and relational approach with my clients. My sessions are structured in a conversational and strength-based manner. I believe we all have internal wisdom, will, and strength.
