Getting to know Liz Thiel

I'm so glad you are here! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio with many years of experience. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Wright State University. I enjoy telehealth as a way to meet lots of new clients. I have worked privately and in the community with individuals, families, and couples. I have experience working with adults and children in prisons and juvenile detention facilities, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and schools. I enjoy helping clients with stress, anxiety, anger, depression, family and relationship issues, marriage, co-parenting, life transitions, teen issues, grief, career counseling, and domestic violence.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental approach to counseling. I can help you recognize self-defeating thoughts and make positive changes using cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapy. I believe that you are the expert on your story and have many strengths that will assist in overcoming things that challenge you. I also add a bit of humor to make our sessions enjoyable.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
