Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life. Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share. My approach Over the past 7 years, our practice has become highly proficient in conducting a comprehensive assessment to understand the client's trauma history, symptoms, current functioning, and treatment goals to provide psychoeducation about trauma, its impact on the brain and body, common reactions, and the rationale behind Trauma-Informed Care. I will work with clients to establish specific and measurable treatment goals that address their trauma-related symptoms and challenges, establishing a safe environment to help clients develop coping strategies to manage distress and establish a sense of safety both in and out of therapy sessions. My focus I am actively and passionately committed to the client, clinicians, and the supporting resources with the belief that by strengthening the client and offering support to the clinicians, the community as a whole becomes healthier. My goal is to provide a safe place for the client where healing can occur, with the belief that this healing will change the trajectory of the client’s life. This is achieved by identifying the needs of an individual, and /or family, and creating an integrated approach to individuals and families who are struggling with how to deal with or adjust to daily life stressors, crisis, and trauma.
