Getting to know Loreley Caplan
Hi, my name is Loreley Caplan, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I have over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings, including non-profit organizations, community mental health centers, private organizations, education, and more recently, at a First Episode Psychosis Program where I provided support and therapy to families with loved ones experiencing symptoms of psychosis.
I describe myself as an excellent listener who is empathetic and supportive. I always try to learn from my clients as much as I hope my clients learn from me.
I was born in Colombia, where I obtained a degree in psychology and worked in the field for several years before moving to the United States. Once in Florida, I continued my education and earned a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
I am fluent in both English and Spanish and comfortable interacting in either language.
What should a new client know about working with you?
During therapy sessions, my focus is entirely on YOU—your expectations, your perceptions, and your needs. My ultimate purpose is to assist you in conquering your therapy goals and supporting your personal growth. I strongly believe in fostering an honest exchange of ideas, where your thoughts and feelings are met with unconditional positive regard. In my practice, I strive to create a non-judgmental environment where you can freely be yourself and express your ideas without fear of judgment. It is my priority to provide a safe and supportive space where we can work together toward your healing and transformation.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
