Lori Ashbaugh, LCSW

Lori Ashbaugh, LCSW

Psychotherapist
IL
We all experience trauma in our lives, and sometimes severe life stressors leave us feeling stuck. As an ally, teacher, and therapist, Lori collaborates with you to go from surviving to thriving. She understands that healing is dynamic and provides a mind-body-spirit approach to treatment. Therapy is an opportunity to honor our experience and become friends with ourselves. Lori uses a combination of holistic modalities including EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy, and movement to tackle core issues. Additionally, Lori is certified by the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement. She was drawn to counseling after going through a healing crisis of her own following a diagnosis of Chronic Lyme disease. Many of the modalities she now uses with her clients were of great benefit throughout her Lyme treatment and recovery. Lori holds a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of North Dakota and earned her Bachelor's degree from Stephens College.
