Getting to know Lori Danielle Weisenburg
There is no ?one-size fits all? when it comes to therapy and choosing a therapist. As each individual is unique and different, therapy should be too. That's why I utilize a humanistic, client-centered therapeutic approach in working with clients, where you take the lead while navigating the challenges of everyday life.
I earned my Master's in Psychology from Chapman University, which has provided a strong foundation for my work in mental health. From community-based mental health and substance abuse treatment to inpatient competency restoration for individuals who are incarcerated, I have had the joy of working with and getting to know people from all different walks of life. My experience across various mental health and substance abuse settings has allowed me to gain significant expertise working with a variety of mental illnesses. In addition to supporting individuals facing these challenges, educating and working with families of those affected has also been a key component of treatment. I would love to be part of the journey for anyone wanting to work through mental health challenges or for family members who have loved ones dealing with these experiences.
Prior to my mental health training, I was enlisted in the United States Air Force, which allowed me to experience diverse cultures, communities, and people. I feel that my time in the military not only enabled me to further my education in therapy but also gave me the privilege of walking alongside people I might never have otherwise encountered. It would be an honor to create a safe space for anyone wanting to explore, learn, or navigate the challenges and experiences that this amazing life has to offer.
