Hi there, I'm Lorrie! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Professional Psychology from Liberty University and a certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II. My passion is working with individuals facing relationship issues and life struggles, including anxiety, depression, and grief/loss. I especially enjoy working with mothers to empower them with a positive sense of self so they can be the best person for themselves and their families. My approach I practice a client-centered, holistic approach when guiding clients through their therapeutic counseling journey. I help clients explore questions that motivate them to discuss and understand the emotions evoked by their reasons for seeking counseling. As a Christian, I can incorporate Christian-based methods in sessions if the client desires. My focus I have a high success rate in assisting clients with managing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and relationship issues. My communication style I provide telehealth services in a calming atmosphere free from distractions, allowing clients to feel heard and valued. I create an inclusive, judgment-free environment where clients can vent and express emotions safely. Their thoughts and feelings are kept confidential in this non-threatening space. My journey to mental healthcare I am passionate about my work and feel called to this profession in this season of my life at 58 years old. I have worked with children and adults with various diagnoses and in diverse situations. Being a counselor is truly my calling. My goals for you Together, the client and I formulate goals based on the reasons for seeking counseling. The client sets their goals with my guidance, and we create a treatment plan collaboratively to support their growth and healing.
