Getting to know Luis Gamez

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College and extensive experience treating a wide variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to addiction, mood disorders (depression, anxiety), psychosis, adjustment disorder, and PTSD. In addition to individual counseling, I am also proficient in family and couples therapy. In both individual and couples/family counseling, I work with clients to build insight and develop a greater understanding of self in order to improve current circumstances and work toward identified treatment goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My intent is for clients to feel supported, listened to, and understood during sessions. As we are able to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship, clients can expect sessions to be a safe and non-judgmental space.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Luis is an amazing listener and makes you feel comfortable during sessions. He is very easy to talk to and gives great advice. I have had a lot of improvements in my life because of him and I feel like a different person! I would highly recommend Luis to anyone seeking counseling!

He didn’t listen or seem to care about us as human beings. 30 minutes into Pitt first session he said cruel things a therapist or anyone should never say. Then he didn’t apologize when we politely and calmly said we felt bad from his words. It’s hard to imagine a worse therapist
