Getting to know Lupita Rodriguez
Welcome, my name is Lupita. I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) based in Virginia, with an MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Lynchburg. I enjoy mixing modalities like motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and more, depending on the unique needs and personalities of my clients. I am particularly interested in working with folks with trauma. I am trained in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, adoption competency, and Trauma-focused CBT. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor and ally. I am also bilingual (English/Spanish) and enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
I believe in working together with my clients to develop attainable goals and supporting them through evidence-based practices to achieve them. I approach my work with compassion, care, and consideration.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients can expect to feel heard and understood as we work together. We will re-evaluate counseling goals periodically in order to determine either changing treatment goals or ending counseling.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
