OH
I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio, holding both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Counseling from Wright State University. I welcome the opportunity to partner with you as you move through difficult times, providing therapeutic support and guidance. I have worked in the mental health counseling field since the late 1980s, with independent licensure since the early 1990s. My approach A client-centered approach is paramount to me. Some of the theoretical frameworks I utilize include supportive and solution-focused brief therapy, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and EMDR. My focus I am willing and able to meet each individual where they are in their personal journey. I will respect your path and encourage you to navigate it as the driving force. I would be honored to assist you with struggles related to depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, life changes or stages of life, or a combination of issues that have become painful and difficult to resolve. My communication style I truly want your experience working with me to be relaxing, comforting, positive, and productive. I will be attentive, timely, and treat you with respect while supporting your courageous choice to work on troubling issues. My journey to mental healthcare I have always wanted to work in the counseling field-a drive that started young. I remember working as a student aide in third grade, helping a group of students struggling with reading and spelling. I loved the excitement in a student's eyes when something finally clicked-the “a-ha” moment. That exhilaration continues to motivate me today. I have worked in mental health and substance use counseling, as well as juvenile and adult prison and county jail systems. I count it a privilege when people open their hearts and lives to invite me to be part of their journey. I see no higher honor.
