Lyndsey Martin, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Are you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted? Sometimes life can be difficult, making it hard to find the skills needed to cope and handle daily challenges effectively. My goal in counseling is to slow down and identify the core issues impacting your daily functioning, then create an individualized and collaborative approach that suits all of your needs. I am passionate about working with those who struggle with Trauma and PTSD, Eating Disorders, and Mood Disorders. I am currently a telehealth-only clinician. I specialize in working with young adults and utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered approaches in my therapeutic style. I am also EMDR trained. These evidence-based approaches are effective in addressing Trauma and PTSD, Eating Disorders, and Mood Disorders. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. New beginnings in therapy bring new opportunities to become a better version of yourself. In the therapeutic relationship, I see client feedback, trust, and transparency as essential to fostering a safe environment that facilitates long-term growth and increases self-awareness. In my free time, I enjoy being outside, engaging in healthy movement, and playing with my dogs!
