Lynn Talmon, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I have loved my life as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California for the past 10 years. I am also an addiction counselor, ecopsychologist (nature therapist), expressive arts therapist, and gerontologist, with additional training and experience specializing in LGBTQ+ and neurodivergence. I work with all genders on issues such as life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief, repairing dysfunctional family injuries, premarital strengthening, and cultivating healthy, amazing relationships. I can also help with codependency, healthy boundaries, and self-esteem building. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from National University, which has provided a strong foundation for my diverse clinical work. My approach is very collaborative because I believe you know yourself better than anyone else. I support you to “uncover, discover, and discard” patterns for a refreshed, healthier, and more authentic life based on your values, culture, and unique nervous system. I have many wonderful clients who are transitioning or post-transition and understand the unique stressors faced by trans persons. More than ever, I support all my clients as they adapt to a rapidly changing political landscape, which can be very concerning and stressful. I am especially focused on supporting persons of color and other marginalized groups with emotional support and compassionate understanding. With years of PhD work in eco-therapy, I also support clients struggling with environmental grief related to the loss of the planet's health and sustainability. My communication style is a good match for many types of people, especially those ready to be healthy and grow. I am very collaborative and rely on science-not fads or pop psychology-to guide our work together.
