Getting to know Lynn Zyskowski

Lynn is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor specializing in trauma therapies, including EMDR and TF-CBT. An Atlanta native, Lynn holds a Master's in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University and works with adults, children, and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, and post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as a range of other mental health challenges. As a CRC, Lynn also has expertise in supporting clients with disabilities. She is a member of EMDRIA and a founding member of the International Association for Resilience and Trauma Counseling. Lynn employs evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused interventions to help clients manage symptoms and gain a sense of autonomy in their lives.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Lynn really enjoys getting to know people while working with them on their unique concerns. She offers a very supportive and client-centered environment in therapy, and she loves using clinically appropriate treatments to help clients move toward their goals by being a partner in their journey toward a renewed self. Her goal is to empower individuals towards their healing ability, activate desired growth and inspire positive change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Lynn provides client-centered therapy and believes that successful treatment begins with building a strong client-therapist relationship. From this secure base, she can support you in working through pain towards growth and change. Lynn views psychotherapy as a collaborative process defined by trust, safety, warmth, empathy, and unconditional acceptance.
