“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”? Rumi. I believe that even in our darkest moments, we can find the light. Sometimes we just need someone to point us in the right direction. I tailor my practice to the individual, meet them where they are, and strive to create a safe environment to promote healing, awareness, and growth. My approach I am not the expert on you; you are the expert on you. I am solution-focused and strengths-based in my practice. I utilize evidence-based CBT interventions that are goal-oriented and empowering, and my approach is collaborative. I grew up in New York City, so I am straight to the point, but I will meet you with compassion and empathy. My focus Struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, disordered eating or addictive behavior? I work with young adults, adults, as well as pregnant and postpartum women who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, and maladaptive coping mechanisms. Together we will build a treatment plan to fit your needs, and gain coping skills to help promote healing. My communication style In my practice, I prioritize clear communication, and I create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice reflective and active listening and will let you go where you need to go, giving direction as needed. I am calm, patient, and not afraid to push my patients to grow. Sometimes that will mean stepping outside of your comfort zone. My journey to mental healthcare I lost a friend in kindergarten to brain cancer, and my parents wanted to make sure I had someone to talk to about it. I never felt as though my therapist understood me, and I did not enjoy going. This prevented me from ever wanting to return to therapy. As an adult, I met a therapist who changed my life and inspired me to do the same for others.
