Madeline Crawford, LCSW

Madeline Crawford, LCSW

Psychotherapist
1828 N Clarkson St, Denver, CO
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in community mental health and animal-assisted therapy. I work with adolescents and adults, offering psychotherapy that is personalized to your unique needs - whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ptsd, or other challenges. Working with young people is a particular passion of mine. Adolescence is a time of tremendous growth and transition, often accompanied by uncertainty and unique challenges. Therapy can provide a powerfully supportive space to explore identities, navigate relationships, and develop the resilience to face life's complexities. My approach draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). As a certified yoga teacher, I value the mind-body connection and like to integrate somatic awareness into my therapy practice. Relationships and connections are central and fundamental to healing, so I frequently incorporate an attachment-based lens as well.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is non-judgmental, compassionate, and grounded in authenticity in all its forms. I understand that taking the first step to seek therapy is a brave investment in yourself, and I strive to create a space of safety and trust where you feel truly seen and heard. I also believe in the healing power of humor -- sometimes the things that feel scary and overwhelming become easier to face when we can access lightness and levity along the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My sessions are typically 50 minutes long and we can meet at a frequency that feels comfortable to you. Our first few sessions typically consist of taking history, building rapport, and developing treatment goals. Subsequent sessions will consist of working towards those treatment goals in an individualized and collaborative way.
