Madelyn Nance, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello! My name is Madelyn, and my role is to provide support in a nonjudgmental space that allows you to create a sense of self-awareness and personal development as you continue your path to gaining a better understanding of yourself and the world around you. My approach I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 Counselor. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Houston Christian University. I utilize many research-supported therapies, including but not limited to dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. My focus As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with individuals focusing on anxiety, depression, mood disorders, disordered eating, substance use, trauma, life changes or transitions, LGBTQI issues, self-awareness, self-esteem, guidance, and life- and career-related goals. My communication style Going through a period of change and growth can be quite overwhelming and intimidating, especially when it comes to trying to find support. Reaching your full capability is achievable if you can overcome your own obstacles to change and develop self-confidence. Growth and awareness, in my experience, are frequently attained at the most unpleasant, unfavorable, and strenuous times in one's life. Regrettably, these are also the moments that can make us feel the most isolated and alone, leading to a sense of hopelessness and, at times, even worthlessness. The people we surround ourselves with and the strategies we adopt to deal with challenges can greatly impact our personal development. Creating a safe place that allows clients to process, grow, and explore what is specific to each client is important to my process and communication with each client.
