Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Madison! I’m a therapist and owner of BrainBloom Counseling. I help children, teens, and adults better understand their brains, emotions, and nervous systems so they can feel more confident and connected. My practice focuses on neurodivergence, anxiety, emotional regulation, and self-compassion. My focus I enjoy working with anyone who struggles with “too much.” Maybe you feel like you’re too much, the world is too much, or there's just too much going on in your head. I help clients make sense of that overwhelm, understand their brains and nervous systems, and build ways of coping that don’t require becoming less of themselves. My approach I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and judgment-free. I combine evidence-based approaches with play therapy, nervous-system-informed care, and self-compassion. Rather than simply teaching you to “fix” your symptoms, we’ll work together to understand your unique set of traits and how to work with them instead of against them. My communication style I’m warm, direct, curious, and nonjudgmental. I want you to feel comfortable being your complete self in therapy. I’ll offer honest observations and practical tools while respecting that you are the expert on your own experience. Therapy should feel like something we do together, not something being done to you. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist started in the classroom. After eight years as a teacher, I became passionate about helping gifted students thrive when given space to be themselves. That led me to counseling, where I found the same need among people with ADHD and neurodivergent brains. BrainBloom grew from that passion. My goals for you I believe in the curious paradox: only when we accept ourselves can we change. Instead of forcing yourself to “fix” what isn’t working, we’ll get curious about it.
