Hello, I'm Magda McGuire, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor and founder of Elevated Horizons Counseling, LLC.
Seeking therapy is a courageous first step, and you don't have to face life's challenges alone. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.
With nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, adjustment issues, serious mental illness, addictions, low self-esteem, life transitions, and crisis situations.
My professional background includes working in hospitals, where I supported patients and families navigating serious illness, end-of-life concerns, and emotional crises. I have also worked in correctional settings, helping individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, trauma, substance use, suicidal thoughts, adjustment difficulties, and severe mental health conditions. These experiences have strengthened my ability to meet clients with empathy, respect, and without judgment—regardless of their circumstances.
I use an integrative, client-centered approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based interventions, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness techniques, and evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and work toward lasting emotional well-being.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
