Getting to know Magdolin Saadalla

My name is Magdolin Saadalla and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Orange County, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with all aged children, young adults, and parents. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT); Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) for children under 5 with a trauma history; Positive-Parenting Program (Triple-P) to address and improve parenting skills; Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP) for focusing on Disruptive Behaviors, Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma. My approach My approach to therapy varies depending on the need of my client. I use a wide range of interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and Supportive Therapy to assist my clients with overcoming life difficulties and achieving better mental health. My focus My clinical experience has allowed me to work with children of all ages, adolescents, young adults, and parents. I work to help my clients navigate life challenges in school, personal, relationships, and parenting arenas to build on their strengths and skills for improved functioning. My communication style My communication style is calm, supportive, and reflective. I love to laugh and use humor in therapy, as laughter is the best medicine. I'm a good listener, emphatic, and gently challenge my clients to achieve their goals and wants. My journey to therapy I decided to become a therapist because of my experiences in my own life that lead me to love and enjoy helping others. My interest in behavior, how the brain works, and the effects it has on us has created a passion for improving one's well-being. I received my Bachelor's from Cal Poly Pomona and my Master's from National University and grew my clinical experience through certifications, training, and hands-on.
