Life can be extremely difficult to navigate at times, especially when going through major life transitions. These things can greatly impact our well-being, especially if we do not have the proper tools to work through them. It can seem impossible to deal with these life stressors and escape from the overwhelming feelings that accompany them. I can help guide your mental health journey and together we can learn how to manage the challenges life throws at you. In 2003, I graduated from the University of New York in Buffalo with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I am Licensed as an Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio since 2017. I have been working in individual practice for the past three years. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma. Prior to individual practice, I worked as a therapist in an outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital in the behavioral health department providing therapy to men and women helping them learn to manage various mental health issues. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues,, career challenges, aging issues, pain management, and addiction. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma/history of abuse. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I focus on working with adults, using cognitive therapy to help my clients think about the issues they’re facing from a different lens. By changing the way you think, you can feel empowered to enact great change in your life. I will always vow to work towards developing a trusting relationship in which you feel heard. Together, we can break down the seemingly insurmountable barriers you feel in your life. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My office hours are M & F from 8:30-4pm for the most part.
