“I’m giving 5 stars because despite my hair being a disaster and looking like a lobster from sun burn and then seeing me cry, Dr. Marcia Vincent was very professional, respectful, compassionate, understanding and non-judgmental which I truly appreciate. I finally feel comfortable to address certain things and like I have a safe and judgement free zone to do so. I look forward to working with Dr. Vincent more and for any wisdom and advice that is given to me.”

Getting to know Marcia Vincent

Marcia Vincent, M.A., NCC, LPC, CAS Marcia Vincent is a Licensed therapist who has been working in the Mental Health field since 2017. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also credentialed as a certified addictions specialist and has training and personal experience in working with folx from the LGBTQPIA+ community. Marcia values building and maintaining a safe therapeutic relationship built on trust, integrity, compassion, and genuine regard for her clients. Confidentiality and feelings of safety are of utmost importance. She recognizes that it takes bravery and mental fortitude to share on a deeper level so one can work through challenges, heal, and live their best life. She understands that everyone is unique and deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. She welcomes clients with trauma histories, substance misuse, gender/identity struggles, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, as well as those dealing with life changes including their health, a break-up or divorce, loss or change of job, displaced families/loved ones, and grief and loss to name a few. Providing human services to those in need is something Marcia has been a part of since the mid-nineties. Prior to graduate school Marcia worked over a decade as a Medicolegal Death Investigator in Colorado. She co-facilitated a support group for first responders and knows PTSD can leave folks feeling overwhelmed and changed from the person they once were. Evidence-based practices such as Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused Therapy are some modalities used throughout treatment. Marcia finds exploration of values and the use of metaphors and art/creativity can help guide the therapeutic process.
