Hi there, I'm Marco! Hello/Hola. I’m Marco Godinez, a licensed marriage and family therapist based in the Bay Area. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. I teach and counsel at my local community college as a tenured professor in sociology, psychology, and counseling. I have over twenty years of experience specializing in career choices, educational goals, clinical health, family dynamics, parenting, relationship challenges, loneliness, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, the LGBT+ community, cultural issues, and personal issues. My approach My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strength-based. I primarily use mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, and somatic techniques. I want to get to know my clients personally, listen to their concerns, and hope they feel empowered in their future endeavors. My focus I work with a diverse adult clientele, from young adults to seniors. I work with individuals recreating themselves, families, teens, couples, and those facing life transitions. I use relatable analogies and stories to help clients realize they can make the changes they want. I enjoy empowering clients to become the dominant force in their lives by working together through challenges. My journey to mental healthcare I come from a holistic perspective, addressing not only mental health symptoms but also physical and spiritual well-being to thrive deeply and have healthier relationships. I enjoy mental health because it incorporates all of who we are and enhances our life journey. I would like to share that journey with you.
