Getting to know Mareesa Bruny
Hello, welcome to your wellness journey. My name is Mareesa, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from American Public University System. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of populations to assist my clients in their journey. I have provided individual and group therapy to children and adolescents in foster care, adults with mental health and substance use disorders, and adults in the correctional system. I am currently providing individual and group therapy to adults 18 years old and up.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My main therapeutic model is holistic therapy. Holistic psychotherapy is an approach where the therapist does not see the client as just a diagnosis but, a complete integrated person. As such, mental health can be impacted by all aspects of life which include the physical health, support systems, work/school environment, spirituality, etc. Discourse in any of these areas will negatively impact the state of your mental health. I believe a holistic approach is the most effective way to achieve overall wellness.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
